Kitchen design & fitting · FalmouthDesigned & fitted in west Cornwall

A new kitchen, plannedproperly, and fitted in three weeks.

Every kitchen comes down to three materials.

Most of ours are some mix of aged brass, oiled oak and honed stone. Scroll through them, then handle the real samples at the showroom.

01 / 03The material

Brass

Unlacquered, so it darkens where hands go. Taps, knobs and a hanging rail.

Lives with it
Polish once a year, or let it go

Oak

Rift-sawn oak doors and 40mm worktops, oiled on site so every knock can be sanded out.

Hard-wax oil, matt

Doors, islands, worktops

Stone

Honed, not polished: it feels like chalk under the hand and hides the water marks.

How a kitchen happens here

Every day of it on paper, before you pay a deposit.

The real worry with a new kitchen is not the doors. It is being without a sink for six weeks. So here is the whole thing, in order, with when money is due.

  1. Week 0

    Design visit

We come to you, measure properly and talk through how you actually cook. An hour and a half, usually in the evening.

    Free
  2. Within a week

    Drawings & a fixed quote

Plan, elevations and a quote that does not move. Change your mind as often as you like at this stage.

    Nothing yet
  3. Sign-off

    Deposit & fitting date

You approve the drawings, we book the fit and send the day-by-day timeline. This is the first time money changes hands.

    Deposit
  4. Days 1–2

    Strip-out

The old kitchen goes, the room is protected, and a temporary sink and hob go in if you want them.

  5. Days 3–15

    The fit

Carcasses, doors, services, then worktops. Stone is templated on fitted units, so it arrives last.

    Stage payment
  6. + 2 weeks

    Snagging visit

Once you have lived with it, we come back and put right anything that is not.

    Final balance

Told as before, plan and after.

Finished photographs only show the doors. The plan is where the skill is, so we show it.

The part the brochure leaves out

Judge a fitter by the two millimetres nobody photographs.

  • Worktop joints you have to look for, not ones you can feel.
  • Fillers scribed to walls that were never straight.
  • Plinths and door lines level across the whole run, not unit by unit.

What a kitchen costs here

Honest bands, so you know if we are the right shop.

What we promise

You will not be living on takeaways.

01

A timeline in writing

Every day of the fit is on paper before we start, including the days you will not have a sink.

02

A temporary sink if you want one

We can plumb in a temporary sink and hob so you are not living on takeaways.

03

Snagging visit at two weeks

We come back once you have lived with it and fix anything that is not right.

“They told us the Thursday we would have no sink and the Thursday we had no sink. That was when we stopped worrying.”
