# Your site's speed, measured on real visitors' phones

> We measure how fast your site loads and responds for real visitors, using Google's Core Web Vitals, and act when the numbers slip. Included on every plan.

Core Web Vitals are three measurements Google uses to judge how a page feels to use. Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) is how long the main content takes to appear. Interaction to Next Paint (INP) is how quickly the page reacts when someone taps or clicks. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) is how much things jump around while loading. We measure all three on real visitors' devices, not just on a fast office computer, and track them over time. We aim for every site to sit within Google's "good" range, and when a number slips we look into why and fix it.

## How it works

1. **Measured on real visits** - Speed is recorded anonymously from real visitors' phones and computers, so the figures reflect patchy signal and older handsets, not ideal test conditions.
2. **Three numbers that matter** - We track loading (LCP), responsiveness (INP) and visual stability (CLS) against the thresholds Google publishes for a "good" experience.
3. **Watched over time** - Because the figures are tracked continuously, we can see if an update, a new photo or a new feature has made a page slower and put it right.

## Why it matters

- **Fewer people give up and leave** - A page that takes too long to appear, or jumps just as someone goes to tap your phone number, loses customers. Watching these numbers keeps those moments rare.
- **A signal Google looks at** - Google uses page experience, including Core Web Vitals, as one of many signals in search. It will not outweigh relevant, useful content, but a slow site does not help.
- **Facts, not guesswork** - Instead of "it feels a bit slow", we have measured figures from your own visitors, which tells us exactly which page to improve and whether the fix worked.

## Questions

### What are Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals are three measurements Google uses to judge a page's experience: LCP for loading speed, INP for how quickly it responds to taps and clicks, and CLS for how much the layout jumps around while loading.

### What counts as a good Core Web Vitals score?

Google's published "good" thresholds are an LCP of 2.5 seconds or less, an INP of 200 milliseconds or less and a CLS of 0.1 or less, measured across most visits. We aim for every site we build to sit within those.

### Will good Core Web Vitals get me to the top of Google?

No, they are one signal among many. Relevant content, reviews and a strong Google Business Profile matter more for a local business. Good vitals mean speed is not holding you back.

### Does measuring real visitors affect their privacy?

The speed measurements are anonymous performance figures, such as how long a page took to load. They do not identify visitors, and they are covered in your privacy policy.
