Two things decide whether Google can show your business at all: your Google Business Profile, which is the listing with your reviews, hours and pin in the map results, and whether your website’s pages are in Google’s index. Every Nerdsharks plan includes both. We set up your Business Profile, or tidy the one you have, with the right categories, services, hours, area and photos, linked to your new site. Then we submit your sitemap in Google Search Console and check that your pages are actually being indexed. Google makes the final decisions, including how and when it verifies a profile, so we cannot promise timings. We make sure nothing on our side slows it down.

## How it works

1. **Your profile set up or tidied** - We choose the right main category, add your services, service area, hours, photos and website link, and write a description in your voice.
2. **Help with verification** - Google verifies that a business is real, often by video or a code. We tell you exactly what Google is asking for and help you through it.
3. **Sitemap submitted** - Your site publishes an up-to-date list of its pages. We submit it in Google Search Console so Google knows every page exists.
4. **Indexing checked** - After launch we check in Search Console that your pages are being indexed, and fix anything Google reports as a problem.

## Why it matters

- **Show up in the map results** - For a lot of local searches, the map listings appear above the ordinary results. A complete, accurate profile gives you a fair chance to be in them.
- **Pages Google actually knows about** - A page that is not indexed cannot appear in search results at all. Checking indexing means your service pages are not sitting unseen.
- **Profile and website agree** - When your name, address, phone number and services match between your profile and your site, customers and Google both get a consistent picture.

## Questions

### Is Google Business Profile setup included?

Yes, setting up or tidying your Google Business Profile is included on every plan, along with submitting your sitemap in Google Search Console. It is a one-off job at launch.

### How long does Google take to index a new website?

Google usually indexes a new website’s pages within days to a few weeks, but it decides the timing, not us. Submitting a sitemap and fixing any reported problems helps it along.

### Can I have a Google Business Profile without a shop address?

Yes, businesses that visit customers can set up a profile as a service-area business, showing the areas they cover and hiding their home address. We set that up for you.

### What is the difference between this and Google Business Profile management?

Setup is a one-off job included in every plan. The Google Business Profile management bolt-on, at £29 a month, keeps it active afterwards with regular posts, photos, updated hours and answers to questions.
