A members-only area is a part of your website that only logged-in members can see. A yoga studio might put recorded classes and a pose guide there; a personal trainer might share workout plans and nutrition sheets; a dog trainer might keep homework videos for each course. Membership can be free, for example to collect sign-ups for your newsletter, or paid, with members paying monthly or yearly through recurring payments. Members can also see members’ prices on bookings or shop items. You decide what is public and what is behind the login, and can add new material yourself. Members-only areas can be added to any plan, priced on your call, and come as standard on Pro.

## How it works

1. **You choose what is private** - Any page, video, download or price can be marked as members-only. Everyone else sees a short description and an invitation to join.
2. **Members sign up and log in** - People join on your website with their email address. For paid membership they pay by card through a regulated payment provider when they sign up.
3. **Different levels if you need them** - You can have more than one type of member, such as free and paid, or a basic and a full membership, each seeing different material.
4. **You add new content yourself** - Upload a new video or guide from your admin area and mark who can see it. Members can be emailed to let them know it is there.

## Why it matters

- **Earn from what you already know** - Recorded classes, plans and guides can bring in regular income through paid membership, on top of the work you do face to face.
- **Keep clients engaged between visits** - Members who can watch a video or follow a plan at home stay involved and are more likely to keep booking with you.

## Questions

### Which plan includes members-only areas?

Any plan. Members-only areas can be added to Monthly or Own It, priced on your call, and come as standard on Pro. Paid membership also uses recurring payments, which we price together.

### Can I host videos for members?

Yes. Videos can be uploaded and shown only to logged-in members. Very large video libraries may need a specialist video host, which we would discuss and quote before starting.

### Can members share their login with friends?

No system can stop this completely, but each login is personal and you can see when accounts are used. If you spot sharing, you can reset or close the account.

### Do I take a cut of membership fees?

Membership fees go through a regulated payment provider straight to your account, minus its standard processing fee. We take no commission.
