## Design rationale

People planning a £60,000 extension want proof of finished work and a builder who keeps to the programme, so the page is built like an architecture magazine cover. There is no hero banner: the headline 'Finished when we said' is set enormous in light Source Serif 4 across the whole page, and a portrait photograph of a dusk extension stands in the middle of it, with the words turning from ink to paper exactly where they cross the picture. On load the photo opens from a thin slit while the lines rise out of their masks. The signature is a pinned project reel on a near-black ground: scrolling moves six finished jobs sideways, and each project's huge serif name slides across its photograph faster than the photograph moves, while a counter ticks from 01 to 06. The rest reads as an editorial spread: a numbered price list where hovering a row slips a photo in, a week-five-and-week-fourteen case study, the staged payments beside a sticky heading, and an italic review. Geist and Geist Mono handle captions, specifications and figure numbers.

## Features

- **Pinned project reel with sliding serif project names** - Six finished jobs, each with its area, type and weeks on site, in a sequence people actually watch rather than skim past.
- **Before-and-after case study with a budget band** - Shows one extension at week five and at handover, with what it cost and how the family lived through it.
- **Numbered guide prices with photo previews** - Sets realistic expectations before anyone commits to drawings.
- **Staged build process tied to payments** - Makes clear that money is paid stage by stage, never up front, which is the biggest fear with builders.
- **Enquiry form with photo and drawing upload** - Photos of the back of the house can save a site visit and speed up a first price.
