## Design rationale

A florist serves three very different customers: someone who needs a birthday bunch today, a grieving family, and a couple planning a wedding a year ahead. The page is laid out like a flower journal. A deep-green rail on the left holds the script logo and a numbered contents list (Today, A farewell, The big day, The shop), with a stem-thin line that fills as you read. The hero is one slim arch of dark-garden peonies with "Flowers for today," set huge across it in the light, high-contrast Playfair; the words turn ivory exactly where they cross into the photograph. As you scroll, the arch opens into a full-bleed still life, the words part, and the rest of the line, "for a farewell, or for the big day", arrives with three routes. Blender-rendered petals drift past at three depths. Below, numbered spreads handle each occasion: a pick-a-price same-day order with a 1pm timeline, a quiet deep-green funeral spread led by the phone number, and a blush wedding spread. A seasonal flower calendar runs between them.
