# Ridgeline Roofing - website by Nerdsharks

> A family roofing firm in Exeter covering slate and tile repairs, re-roofs, flat roofs and chimney work. Roofing is the trade people trust least: nobody can see what was done up there. After a storm, homeowners are hit by cold callers. The site has to feel established, show proof of the work itself, and make booking a check easy. Designed and built by Nerdsharks.

## Design rationale

Ridgeline is built as soft 3D inside a framed window. The whole first screen is one rounded pane of pale Devon sky, and in it a Blender clay house has its roof stripped to battens, then slated course by course from the eaves up, then capped with terracotta ridge tiles, on a loop. It is the one thing a homeowner never gets to see, shown in the right order without a word. The film is rendered on the window's exact sky colour, so the house floats in the pane rather than sitting in a box. White tiles orbit it the way product cards orbit a hero object: the £95 roof check with a booking button, a photo report with a traffic-light list, the written guarantee. "Row by row." is set huge in Bricolage Grotesque across the foot of the window, and each word drops into place like a slate. Further down, the signature scene pins a flat elevation of a semi and re-roofs it as you scroll: membrane, battens, ten courses of slate, the ridge, then the photo report arriving, with the day-by-day list lighting up alongside. The palette is taken straight off a Devon roof against the sky: slate, clay and terracotta.

## Features

- **A pinned "re-roof, day by day" scene** - Scrolling lays a roof course by course, so a customer understands what six to eight days of work actually buys before they ask for a quote.
- **A £95 roof health check with a five-step photo report** - Customers cannot see their own roof, so photographs of every slope and valley are what turn suspicion into trust.
- **Bento service cards with "from" prices** - Repairs, re-roofs and flat roofs are very different decisions. Separate tiles let each customer find their job in a glance.
- **A storm damage line kept at the top of the page** - After high winds, the first roofer to answer usually gets the job. A clear same-week promise catches that moment.
- **A written guarantee and insurance shown up front** - Cold callers never offer these, so putting them in plain sight separates a real firm from a doorstep chancer.
