# True Level Plastering & Rendering - website by Nerdsharks

> A plasterer and his labourer doing skims, re-plasters, ceilings and external render around Somerset. The work is mostly booked two to four weeks out, and most enquiries currently arrive as vague texts with no room size and no photo, which means two or three rounds of messages before anyone gets a price. Designed and built by Nerdsharks.

## Design rationale

A plasterer sells flatness, so the page is a hard Swiss grid of ruled cells on a grained plaster ground, closer to a spec sheet than a brochure. A header strip of bordered cells holds a spirit-level logo, mono links, a green-dot 'Next free week' and the phone number. Under it, TRUE LEVEL runs edge to edge in extra-wide Syncopate, the second word in outline. The signature is the wall itself: the hero pins, and as you scroll a rendered steel trowel sweeps three passes across a scratched grey float coat, leaving a pink skim behind it band by band, while a readout counts the pass from 01 to 03 and the deviation from ±6 mm down to ±1 mm over a two-metre straight edge. Prices come straight after, first explaining why walls, ceilings and render are priced differently, then a ruled table with wide figures. The four coats stack up as sticky cards, the process ends with the actual drying card left on the wall, and the quote form asks for the job, the three room sizes and a photo. Martian Mono labels and Schibsted Grotesk keep it plain.

## Features

- **Scroll-driven trowel sweep from float coat to finished skim** - Shows what a dead-flat finish looks like against a rough wall, which is the whole job, before a word of sales copy.
- **Price table straight after the hero, with a 'how we price' explainer** - Answers 'how much to skim a room?' and explains why a ceiling costs more than a wall before anyone haggles.
- **Next free week in the header** - Tells the customer how far out the diary is before they have to ask.
- **Quote form asking for job type, room sizes and a photo** - Gets from first message to a fixed price in one reply instead of three.
- **Four coats as stacking cards, and the drying card shown in full** - Covers the mess and aftercare worries that put people off booking a plasterer.
