## About Bristol

Bristol has an unusually design-literate customer base and a strong independent trading culture, which raises the baseline: a template website is more conspicuous here than in most English cities. There is also a marked geographical split between the north and east of the city and the south, and businesses that are honest about which side they actually serve tend to get better enquiries than those claiming the whole of it.

## Nearby

Across the boundary into the next council area, Kingswood (3 miles), Filton (4 miles), Keynsham (5 miles) and Patchway (6 miles) are also close. If you cover some of these and not others, the site should name the ones you do.

We are based in Exeter and work with Bristol businesses remotely.

## Questions

### Do you actually work with businesses in this area?

Yes. We are based in Exeter and build websites for businesses right across the UK. The work is done remotely, by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and we will not pretend to have an office down the road from you.

### Does it matter that you are not local to me?

For building and looking after a website, no. Everything is done by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and you approve the design on your own phone before anything goes live. What does matter is local search visibility, and that depends on the site and your Google Business Profile being set up for your area, not on where we sit.

### How do I compete with bigger businesses in my area locally?

By being specific. A large regional firm usually has one page that covers everywhere; you can have a page about what you do in your town, naming the areas you cover and the jobs you do. Add a fast site and a fully completed Google Business Profile, and you are giving local searchers a clearer answer than a page written for the whole region.
