## About Camelford

Camelford is a small town on the edge of Bodmin Moor in north Cornwall, linked in legend with King Arthur and close to the slate quarry at Delabole and the coast at Tintagel and Boscastle. It is a working rural town rather than a tourist destination, although visitors pass through on their way to the coast. Homes are often old stone and slate, exposed to wet westerly weather. Tradespeople should name the villages and coastal areas they cover, and seasonal businesses need to keep hours current online.

## Nearby

The nearest towns in the same council area are Wadebridge (10 miles), Bodmin (11 miles), Padstow (13 miles) and Launceston (14 miles). If you cover some of these and not others, the site should name the ones you do.

We are based in Exeter and work with Camelford businesses remotely.

## Questions

### Do you actually work with businesses in this area?

Yes. We are based in Exeter and build websites for businesses right across the UK. The work is done remotely, by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and we will not pretend to have an office down the road from you.

### Does it matter that you are not local to me?

For building and looking after a website, no. Everything is done by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and you approve the design on your own phone before anything goes live. What does matter is local search visibility, and that depends on the site and your Google Business Profile being set up for your area, not on where we sit.

### How do I compete with bigger businesses in my area locally?

By being specific. A large regional firm usually has one page that covers everywhere; you can have a page about what you do in your town, naming the areas you cover and the jobs you do. Add a fast site and a fully completed Google Business Profile, and you are giving local searchers a clearer answer than a page written for the whole region.
