## About Holyhead

Holyhead is the ferry port for Dublin and the largest town on Anglesey, sitting on Holy Island with a long breakwater and the cliffs of South Stack nearby. The port and its traffic dominate the local economy. Housing is mostly older terraces and post-war estates, exposed to strong winds off the Irish Sea. A Holyhead business should name Trearddur Bay and Valley, and trades can emphasise weatherproofing and roofing work.

## Nearby

Amlwch (14 miles), Llangefni (14 miles), Menai Bridge (20 miles) and Beaumaris (23 miles) are the nearest in the same council area. A longer drive takes in Caernarfon (19 miles), Bangor, Gwynedd (22 miles), Bethesda (25 miles) and Nefyn (26 miles). Naming the towns you actually cover tells people straight away whether you will come to them.

We are based in Exeter and work with Holyhead businesses remotely.

## Questions

### Do you actually work with businesses in this area?

Yes. We are based in Exeter and build websites for businesses right across the UK. The work is done remotely, by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and we will not pretend to have an office down the road from you.

### Does it matter that you are not local to me?

For building and looking after a website, no. Everything is done by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and you approve the design on your own phone before anything goes live. What does matter is local search visibility, and that depends on the site and your Google Business Profile being set up for your area, not on where we sit.

### How do I compete with bigger businesses in my area locally?

By being specific. A large regional firm usually has one page that covers everywhere; you can have a page about what you do in your town, naming the areas you cover and the jobs you do. Add a fast site and a fully completed Google Business Profile, and you are giving local searchers a clearer answer than a page written for the whole region.
