## About Kidwelly

Kidwelly is a small Carmarthenshire town on the Gwendraeth estuary, overlooked by one of the best-preserved Norman castles in Wales and with a former tinplate works now a museum. It has a quiet, residential character, with many residents commuting to Llanelli or Carmarthen and a sprinkling of visitors heading for the castle and the coast. Trades benefit from naming nearby villages such as Ferryside and Mynyddygarreg, and from being quick to answer enquiries from people who would otherwise look to the larger towns.

## Nearby

The nearest towns in the same council area are Burry Port (4 miles), Laugharne (7 miles), Llanelli (7 miles) and Carmarthen (8 miles). A longer drive takes in Loughor (11 miles), Pontarddulais (12 miles) and Gorseinon (12 miles). If you cover some of these and not others, the site should name the ones you do.

We are based in Exeter and work with Kidwelly businesses remotely.

## Questions

### Do you actually work with businesses in this area?

Yes. We are based in Exeter and build websites for businesses right across the UK. The work is done remotely, by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and we will not pretend to have an office down the road from you.

### Does it matter that you are not local to me?

For building and looking after a website, no. Everything is done by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and you approve the design on your own phone before anything goes live. What does matter is local search visibility, and that depends on the site and your Google Business Profile being set up for your area, not on where we sit.

### How do I compete with bigger businesses in my area locally?

By being specific. A large regional firm usually has one page that covers everywhere; you can have a page about what you do in your town, naming the areas you cover and the jobs you do. Add a fast site and a fully completed Google Business Profile, and you are giving local searchers a clearer answer than a page written for the whole region.
