## About Pembroke

Pembroke is a historic walled town built along a single long main street, with its great castle, birthplace of Henry VII, standing at one end above the river. It serves south Pembrokeshire and has close links to Pembroke Dock and the energy industries around the Haven. Visitor businesses need to be found by castle-goers, and trades should cover Monkton, Lamphey and Pembroke Dock, as well as showing experience with old stone buildings.

## Nearby

Pembroke Dock (2 miles), Neyland (3 miles), Milford Haven (6 miles) and Tenby (9 miles) are the nearest in the same council area. A longer drive takes in Whitland (16 miles) and Laugharne (20 miles). Naming the towns you actually cover tells people straight away whether you will come to them.

We are based in Exeter and work with Pembroke businesses remotely.

## Questions

### Do you actually work with businesses in this area?

Yes. We are based in Exeter and build websites for businesses right across the UK. The work is done remotely, by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and we will not pretend to have an office down the road from you.

### Does it matter that you are not local to me?

For building and looking after a website, no. Everything is done by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and you approve the design on your own phone before anything goes live. What does matter is local search visibility, and that depends on the site and your Google Business Profile being set up for your area, not on where we sit.

### How do I compete with bigger businesses in my area locally?

By being specific. A large regional firm usually has one page that covers everywhere; you can have a page about what you do in your town, naming the areas you cover and the jobs you do. Add a fast site and a fully completed Google Business Profile, and you are giving local searchers a clearer answer than a page written for the whole region.
