Websites for plumbers

Websites for plumbers that win the work.

Websites for plumbing and heating businesses, built around the one thing that matters when a pipe bursts: getting the phone to ring in under a minute. From £99 a month, live in 3 working days.

The Bramley & Son Plumbing & Heating website on a phone
Your customers

How people actually choose a plumber.

Nobody browses for a plumber. They search when water is coming through a ceiling, and they are on a phone, standing in the mess, deciding in about forty seconds. They open the first two or three results, look for a phone number and something that says you cover their area, and call whoever makes that easiest. Price barely features at this stage - availability and confidence do. The second kind of customer, the one booking a new bathroom or a boiler swap, behaves completely differently: they compare three or four firms over a fortnight and want to see finished work and Gas Safe registration. A plumbing website has to serve both without confusing either.

When demand peaks. Emergency demand spikes hard in the first cold snap and over the Christmas period. Boiler replacement enquiries climb from September.

The problem

What most plumbers websites get wrong.

Most plumbing websites bury the phone number in a header that collapses on mobile, then lead with a paragraph about being established since 1998. The emergency customer never scrolls that far. The other common failure is a contact form as the only way to reach you - a form is a fine way to book a bathroom quote and a useless way to handle a burst pipe at nine at night. Sites also tend to list every service in one undifferentiated block, so a customer looking specifically for boiler repair cannot tell whether you do it.

What it has to do

The jobs a plumber website is built for.

  1. Phone call within 60 seconds of landing

Emergency work is won by whoever is easiest to ring, not whoever is cheapest.

  2. Quote request for planned work

Bathrooms and boiler installs are the profitable jobs and are researched, not panic-bought.

  3. Clear coverage area

Half the calls a plumber wastes time on are outside the patch.

The pages we build for you

Home
Phone number, coverage area and emergency availability above everything else.
Emergency plumbing
A page that can rank for panic searches and answers "can you come now".
Boiler installation and repair
The highest-value planned work, with its own page so it can rank.
Bathroom installation
Photographs of finished work, which is what this buyer actually wants.
Areas we cover
Kills wasted enquiries and helps local search.
About
Gas Safe number, insurance, how long you have been going.
Contact
Phone, hours, and a form for non-urgent work.

What moves the needle

Tap-to-call button fixed to the bottom of the screen on mobile
The single highest-impact element on a plumbing site. It converts panic into a call.
Gas Safe registration number displayed on every page
It is a legal credibility marker and customers actively look for it.
Photo gallery of completed bathrooms and installs
Planned work is sold on finished photographs, not on descriptions.
Coverage map or plain list of towns covered
Reduces out-of-area calls and supports local ranking.
Out-of-hours availability stated explicitly
Ambiguity here loses the most valuable calls.

Trust signals we put on every page: Gas Safe registration number · Public liability insurance · Photographs of finished work · Years trading

Concept build

What a plumber website could look like.

Bramley & Son is staged like a luxury product launch, because the plumber you trust in a big house should feel calm, exact and expensive, not frantic. The page opens on a deep ink stage with one object lit from above: a polished copper pipework sculpture modelled and rendered in Blender, with brass compression fittings, a brass stopcock with a red wheel, and a glass sight-section where clear water and bubbles run through. A drop gathers at the spout and falls, and rings spread across the still water beneath it while the camera drifts slowly round.

Questions

Plumbers: what people ask us

Do I need a separate page for emergency call-outs?
Yes, if emergency work is a meaningful part of your income. People search differently in an emergency - the words, the urgency and the device are all different - and a dedicated page can answer "can you come now" in a way a general services page cannot.
What if I do not have photographs of my work?
Start taking them now, on your phone, before and after every job. Photographs of your own finished work convert better than any stock image or any amount of copy, and in the trades they are the single biggest factor in the size of job you get asked to quote for. We will lay out the site to work with whatever you have and improve as you build up a library.
Should I list every town I cover?
List the towns you genuinely work in and would happily travel to. A short honest list produces better enquiries than a long optimistic one, and it stops you spending your day quoting for jobs ninety minutes away that you were never going to take.
