A two-groomer salon in Newton Abbot, booked up three weeks ahead, taking bookings by Facebook message and phone while holding a pair of scissors. Owners want to know the price for their breed and whether their nervous rescue will be all right, and they currently have to ask both questions by message.

Dog owners want to know two things: what it costs for their breed, and whether a nervous dog will be all right. The page answers both with the energy of a sticker book. A sunflower-yellow card with ink outlines and hard shadows sits on a tomato-red page, and the hero is the joke everyone gets: "Muddy in. Fluffy out." A cut-out cavapoo sits in a sky-blue bath, caked in mud, and as you scroll the hero pins and a sponge scrubs across him, wiping the mud away to reveal a fluffy, freshly groomed dog while bubbles rise and the headline fills with colour. Then the stickers pop on: "After!", "No cage drying", "One dog at a time". Prices are five bright breed cards, each with its own dog sticker bursting out of the top and the price on a round tag. Polaroids walk through bath, dry and snip, a mint panel talks straight to owners of nervous dogs, and the gallery is a sheet of dog stickers. Lilita One is chunky and friendly; Nunito keeps the detail easy to read.

Owners of rescue dogs need reassurance before they will book.
Bookings come in online instead of by phone while a groomer is holding scissors.
Finished grooms show the salon's standard and personality.
