Bramley & Son
A two-van plumbing and heating firm that gets most of its work from emergency call-outs but makes most of its money from bathroom installs.

A custom tattoo studio with three resident artists working in traditional, blackwork and fine-line styles. Enquiries arrive as Instagram DMs with no size, no placement and no budget, each artist spends hours replying, and walk-ins keep asking for flash on days when nobody has space.

Tattoo clients choose an artist and a style, not a studio, so the page opens like a gig poster pasted on a wall. A pink-toned photograph of a tattooed back stands in front of a giant "Ink & Anchor" wordmark, so the lettering disappears behind the shoulders and returns either side. On load the wordmark bleeds in: eroded, half-melted letters come first, then solid ink glitches in over them in stepped bands while a misregistered bone-white copy snaps into place. Small mono captions are scattered to the corners with the coordinates, the hours and whose books are open, and a pink card carries the headline and the enquiry button. Every photograph after that arrives as a stepped glitch reveal with a pink scan bar. The manifesto highlights its key words with rough brush blocks that wipe in as you read. The flash-day sheet switches to bone paper, and hovering a design floods it with pink ink, jitters it and stamps it. Climate Crisis, a typeface whose letters erode, sets the display type, with Space Mono underneath, on lining black, flash pink and bone.

It reads as a studio with a point of view, not a template, which is what tattoo clients look for.
Clients go straight to the right artist and style instead of DMing everyone.
Showing tattoos months later is the strongest proof of quality.
Walk-ins are pointed to set flash days rather than turning up when nobody has space.
An artist can quote in one reply instead of ten DMs.
