Websites for barbers

Websites for barbers that win the work.

Websites for barbershops built to do three things fast: show the cuts, show the prices, and let someone book without ringing. From £99 a month, live in 3 working days.

The Ironclad Barbers website on a phone
Your customers

How people actually choose a barber.

A barber customer decides in seconds and almost always on a phone. They want to see the standard of cut, know the price, and find out whether they can walk in or need to book. Once they find a barber they like they come back every three to five weeks for years, so the value of a single new customer is unusually high - a good barbershop customer is worth several hundred pounds a year. The decision is heavily influenced by whether the place looks like somewhere they would feel comfortable, which is a question about photographs, not words.

When demand peaks. Sharp peaks before Christmas, weddings in summer, and every Friday and Saturday.

The problem

What most barbers websites get wrong.

Most barbershops do not have a website at all and rely entirely on a social profile, which means they cannot be found by anyone searching, cannot show a price list clearly, and cannot take a booking without a conversation. The ones that do have sites tend to bury the price list and the booking link below a paragraph about passion for the craft. Nobody reads that. The price list and the booking button are the website.

What it has to do

The jobs a barber website is built for.

  1. Online booking

Removes the phone call, which is the main friction for a younger customer.

  2. Price list visible without scrolling far

Price is the second thing every customer checks and hiding it loses them.

  3. Walk-in policy stated clearly

Ambiguity about whether they can just turn up costs real footfall.

Concept build

What a barber website could look like.

A barbershop is chosen on atmosphere as much as price, so the page opens in the dark with one lit object: a barber's pole modelled and rendered in Blender, brass caps and glass tube, its cream and oxblood stripes climbing on an endless loop. A huge hairline IRON / CLAD in Josefin Sans splits around it, the second word drawn only in a brass outline, and the two halves pull apart as you scroll. The rest of the page reads like a dark men's magazine: Spectral serif headings with italic brass accents, numbered sections, photographs captioned as plates, and the three most-asked-for cuts laid out as spreads with chair time and price.

Questions

Barbers: what people ask us

Can you add online booking?
Yes. Every plan includes a booking-request form, live-availability booking can be added to any plan (quoted on your call) and comes as standard on Pro, and we can connect whichever booking system suits your business rather than forcing you onto ours. For appointment businesses it is usually the highest-return feature on the site, because the phone going unanswered while you are working is a constant source of lost bookings.
Should I put my prices on my website?
Almost always yes. Hiding prices loses more enquiries than it protects, because people assume the worst and go to a competitor who publishes theirs. If your pricing genuinely varies, publish a range and explain in one sentence what moves it - that converts far better than "contact us for a quote".
I already have a busy social page. Do I need a website?
A social profile cannot be found by someone searching for a barber near them, cannot show a current price list clearly, cannot take a booking without a conversation, and belongs to the platform rather than to you. It works well alongside a website and badly instead of one.
