Take deposits and card payments on your own website

Take deposits when customers book, or full payment for fixed-price services, by card through your own website. Money goes to your account.

How it works

Simple on your side. Handled on ours.

  1. You set the rules

Tell us which services need a deposit, whether it is a fixed amount or a share of the price, and what your cancellation terms are.

  2. Customers pay at checkout

When they book or order, customers pay by card on a secure checkout. Card details are handled by the payment provider, never stored on your site.

  3. Receipts for both of you

The customer gets a confirmation and receipt by email. You get an alert and the payment shows against the booking in your CRM.

  4. Paid into your account

The payment provider pays the money into your business bank account on its normal schedule, minus its standard processing fee.

Why it matters

Fewer no-shows
An empty slot you kept free is money gone. Asking for a deposit makes people far more likely to turn up or cancel properly.
Less chasing for payment
When fixed-price work is paid for upfront, there is no awkward follow-up text asking whether the customer has transferred it yet.
No commission from us
We do not take a percentage of your payments. The only fee per transaction is the payment provider’s, which we explain before you launch.

Questions

Card payments and deposits: questions

Can I take deposits on my website?
Yes, your website can take card deposits when customers book. It can be added to any plan, priced on your call, and comes as standard on Pro.
Who holds my customers’ card details?
Card details are handled by a regulated payment provider and are never stored on your website or in your database. Your site only records that a payment was made.
What fees are there on card payments?
The payment provider charges its own standard processing fee on each payment. We take no commission, and we explain the provider’s fees before you go live.
Can customers get a refund if they cancel?
Refunds follow the cancellation terms you set, and you can issue a refund to the customer’s card when needed. We help you word your terms clearly so customers see them before they pay.
